RAVENS CROSSING - our new name for Saanich Peninsula Cohousing.
We are a diverse group of independent households, that have worked together effectively and efficiently (…and with care and humour) over the past several months who are now about to dive into a site search! We are guided by the expert team of professionals at Cohousing Development Consulting and supported by the cohousing communities around us.
We enthusiastically look forward to finding a site and developing our own multi-generational cohousing community in Brentwood Bay, Saanichton or Sidney within a ten-minute walk of the amenities and green spaces we need to live a more sustainable lifestyle.
We envision a community of introverts and extroverts in all ages and stages of life who value privacy and connection within a simpler, healthier, and more energy-efficient environment, in a place primarily of compact, creatively-designed bright apartments with extensive common facilities to augment our private dwellings and support us to have more connection with our neighbours. We hope to be ready to move into our community of 25-30 new homes by 2020.
Until our Ravens Crossing Website is in full flight, our former website can be found HERE.
You’re invited to follow our progress by signing up to our email list (expect an email every month or two). We’ll let you know when our group finds a site, when our membership is open, and what the Ravens are doing!

We also host weekend workshops led by Margaret Critchlow, PhD. Margaret is a Founding Member of Harbourside Cohousing and a consultant with Cohousing Development Consulting. Her workshop Is Cohousing for You? is required for equity membership in our project and is also a great way to find out more about cohousing concepts.
Associate Membership is temporarily closed to allow us to integrate numerous new members. Please plan to attend an information session and the Is Cohousing For You workshop if you are interested in becoming an Associate Member.
Ravens Crossing will host Is Cohousing for You? in January as well as an information meeting on January 13. More information and registration is available on Eventbrite.
